Andreina Vieira dos Santos

was born in 1988 and grew up in Barbalha, in the Brazilian Northeast.

In 2012, she completed her degree in Performing Arts at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.

Since 2012, she has been based in Berlin where she was able to take her first steps in the field of costume design as a trainee at Constanza Macras and Maxim Gorki Theater, she also worked as an assistent in various independet productions. As a costume designer, she collaborates with Grupo Oito (Berlin) and Hajusom (Hamburg).

In 2018, she completed her Master’s degree in Theater Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin.

In March 2019, she led a workshop on performative costumes at the Goethe-Institut Kamerun.

Since then, she is also dedicated to conducting an artistic research on the discussion of Blackness and ways to deal with decolonial thinking through costumes, part of this research will be presented at the Critical Costume Conference 2020.
