Grupo Oito opens again its ongoing research on “resistance” by inviting participants to a two days workshop.
Guided by the Get Physical Process, the physical practice created by Ricardo De Paula and further developed by the collective as a tool for movement investigation, we will dive deeper into this topic.
- How are our bodies and minds shaped by acts of resistance?
- How does your personal idea of resistance look like?
- Can physicalities of resistance transform our life practices?
A plurality of perspectives on “resistance” will allow us to dialogue with all its complexity: at the layer of the body and the mind, in the interactions between each other and on a social and political scale.
This year workshop will will also investigate how political acts of resistance can shape our artistic practice, and how these physicalities can turn into acts of artivism.
Supported by Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion, Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media within the program NEUSTART KULTUR.
