The performers of Grupo Oito construct something which is not their own, but rather the movement that exists in between. Through physicality, their common way of expression, a dialogue is created – about feelings interlaced with actualities. A search for ‘happiness’, swinging between the heedlessness of childhood and the reality of news, using the radio as a producer, transformer and manipulator. Within these processes are technologies of the self: “Foucault defines them as technologies that enable the individual to conduct operations and manipulations on his or her own body or soul, thinking, behavior and mode of existence in order to change in a way that allows to reach a state of happiness, perfection.….” (Foucault 2005a, 968).
